How James Was Born ?
It’s an inspiring story. It all started in the 90s when two boys, Miguel and Michael, met at school. They shared incredible memories for 20 years until life took them on different paths. Miguel became a serial entrepreneur, while Michael pursued his studies and earned two master’s degrees with high distinction: one in finance and marketing, and the other in actuarial science.
In 2023, although they never lost touch thanks to regular phone and video calls, they had the opportunity to meet in person again! Michael returned from Australia, where he lived and worked for nearly 10 years for several major companies, and proudly obtained Australian citizenship. He came back to Europe to join a major tech company based in the Netherlands for a three-year mission.
Meanwhile, Miguel, owner of several companies in Belgium, decided to settle in Thailand in 2022 to retire and manage his businesses in Belgium remotely. During a business trip to Europe, he took the opportunity to visit his childhood friend, Michael, in the Netherlands. During this meeting, they discussed their frustrations with the lack of a good AI assistant to manage emails and calendars.
The Birth of James
Miguel expressed his desire for an assistant that required no complicated installations or access to personal email accounts, for greater security and ease. Michael took on the challenge, and thus, James was born. The name “James” comes from “Intelligent Agent.” Our goal is to solve real problems efficiently with a human touch.
